The cat is waiting for his dream of hanami to become reality. He, unlike me, already did it at least once, but he wishes to repeat it. While waiting, he assumes the attitude of Zhdun, The Awaiter, closes his eyes and shuts the current humdrum stuff out.
Admittedly, you can do hanami on Gran Canaria. But it doesn't feel the same somehow.

Doesn't he look perfectly balanced and poised? It's because he is.
Today's quote comes from Le Parisien's Citation Célèbre section. They call all their quotes "citation de célébrité // celebrity quote", leading to Buddha being bundled together with, say, Groucho Marx or Sophia Loren. Very democratic.

| Le chat a trouvé Shanti // The cat has found inner peace |
It’s the last week on my French course and we have exams (lotsa them). It is important to find inner peace at these trying times, and the cat has found it.
“Shanti est un mot sanskrit qui signifie paix, calme, sérénité” (Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace, calm, serenity).
Good for him, shame that I can’t find it.
I have till Thursday though.
The little pic is done in Harmony (quite appropriately, I think)
