Joyeux Noël! // Merry Christmas!

That's all we wanted to say :)

Couleur bleu nuit

Mon ornement de Noël préféré était une boule de verre de belle couleur bleu nuit // My favourite christmas ornament used to be a glass bauble in beautiful midnight blue color
It is true, there was such a bauble. Originally it had small white stars its shiny surface, but they disappeared gradually.

While looking up the name of this shade of blue I found that what is "midnight blue" in English is simply "Bleu nuit" in French, i.e. not "midnight", just "night". Not sure which one I like better.

Sur la route

Il y avait une légère brume sur la route // There was a light fog over the road

Well, Christmas is coming and three wise cats are on their way, weather conditions notwithstanding.

The creature in the tree hollow is quite probably another cat, and  most likely a wise one, but he is shy and we will never know.

Three wise cats

Le texte évangélique ne mentionne ni leur nombre ni les noms de ces «sages» //
The evangelical text mentions neither number nor names of these “sages”

Today is El Día de Los Reyes Magos, i.e. “the Three Kings’ Day”. Everything is closed and we run out of fast internet till Monday (I hope).

So, here is a pic with a feline version of these guys. Since neither number nor names were originally mentioned, I took a further liberty — one of the guys is, in fact, a gal.
